"Food and tour were great! I loved how small and local and tasty everything was. Going to places that have been around for a long time or that invented the certain type of street food made it extra special and Melissa put in a bunch of other fun activities and tidbits of info in between food places so we still had space in our bellies to eat before the next location! The group was pretty small too so it was easy to talk to everyone. I definitely recommend Melissa and this tour!"

"What a wonderful morning we had with our fabulous tour guide, Glenda. We learned so much about the Tsukiji fish market - it's history, customs, layout - and had the opportunity to taste different kinds of seafood including tuna, salmon, eel, vegetables, miso, tea and even puffer fish! Glenda was delightful - full of information, fun to talk with, open, friendly, accommodating and so personable. We highly recommend this tour (ask for Glenda if you can!) - you won't regret it!"

"We had an amazing tour of old Kyoto. Our guide Yoshiko is very knowledgeable and a Japanese native from the southern island. Unfortunately due to golden week some places were closed but she found a great alternative with terrace seating overlooking the river at sunset. The food was spectacular and authentic. If you're vegan I don't recommend this tour. You just don't get the full experience of the dishes but still a lot of good historical information and suggestions for things to see on your own time."

"We had a fabulous Pontocho dinner tour in Kyoto yesterday. Our host, Hiro, was a great guide, not only introducing us to delicious Japanese delicacies, but at the same time making sure we learnt chopstick etiquette, the differences between various types of saki and a few key words of Japanese, as well as revealing a few Kyoto historical facts. If that all sounds a bit serious, it wasn’t! We had so much fun in our small, enthusiastic group. Thanks everyone for a terrific evening x"
