OMOTENASHI Selection 2024 2nd Session Lineup

On December 3rd, the second round of the 2024 OMOTENASHI selection award winners were announced, showcasing the winner’s contribution towards fine craftsmanship and execution of many amazing Japanese products and services. The OMOTENASHI selection is a yearly list of the highest quality products and services produced by small and large Japanese companies that demonstrate Japan’s “ometenashi culture” or unique hospitality. However, one key aspect of this list is that all of the products and services are judged by foreign residents in Japan, not only for their quality but also for their viability in foreign markets. This second round will showcase additional consecutive award winners selected among those who have made the OMOTENASHI list consecutively three, five, or ten times year over year.

“The Designer’s Daruma features six lines on its front, representing the passage of time from past to future. On both sides, the words “Korobu” and “Okiru” are written in Japanese Katakana to express the spirit of “falling down seven times, getting up eight” and are visually represented like a mathematical formula.”
