Cherry-blossom season in Japan is the picture-book image of springtime. As the longer sunny days thaw away the winter, the soft pink sakura flowers start to bloom. For many of us here in Japan, the arrival of April is also the start of the new work and school year, which only enhances the season’s atmosphere of fresh hope and new beginnings.
As we all know, Hanami parties are a big part of the season. The term hanami (花見) translates to ‘flower’ (hana) ‘viewing’ (mi). Hanami is much more than just admiring flowers, though: it’s a celebration of newness, and in these tough times coming together to celebrate the spring, renewal and hope is more important than ever!
We have created an online Hanami experience for your group or organization in Japan. Guided activities, and everything you need for your Chery Blossom Virtual event, including a delicious tasting box full of Sakura treats and surprises.
